Crumble-Plum Cake
Plum and crumble are a perfect combination for the cozy autumn season. This cake is ideal as a sweet treat after a wonderful autumn walk!
Ingredients for the batter:
- 250g spelt flour
- 250g yogurt
- 150ml plant-based milk (e.g. almond or oat milk)
- 150g date sugar
- 100g grated walnuts
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cardamom

- 250g plums
Ingredients for the crumble:
- 80g cold butter
- 50g grated walnuts
- 50g spelt flour
- 50g oats
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cardamom
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven & prepare the baking pan:
Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan setting). Prepare the baking pan (approx. 26cm diameter) with baking paper.
2. Prepare the batter:
Mix the eggs, yogurt, and plant-based milk in a big bowl. Add date sugar and vanilla sugar. Afterwards add the dry ingredients (spelt flour, walnuts, cinnamon, cardamom, baking powder) and mix until you have a smooth batter. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
3. Add the plum topping:
Distribute the halved plums evenly over the batter.
4. Prepare the crumble:
Cut the cold butter into small pieces and place them in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients (walnuts, spelt flour, oats, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, cardamom, honey) and make crumbles. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the plums.
5. Bake:
Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
6. Let cool & enjoy:
Let the cake cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
