Chocolate Halloween Donuts

Halloween is just around the corner, and what could be better than baking delicious chocolate donuts that are both spooky and tasty? These donuts are not only rich in chocolate flavor and moist but also easy to make. Perfect for your next Halloween party or a cozy evening at home!

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 130ml plant-based milk
  • 120g whole grain spelt flour
  • 100g coconut blossom sugar
  • 100g ground walnuts
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 avocado

Ingredients for the topping:

  • Candy eyes
  • Pretzels
  • Optional: chocolate glaze

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 160°C (fan setting).

2. Prepare the dough: Blend the avocado and plant-based milk until smooth and creamy. Add the coconut blossom sugar and eggs, and mix well. Step by step add in the ground walnuts, vanilla sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder and whole grain spelt flour until a homogeneous dough forms.

3. Baking: Pour the dough into a donut form, making sure each form is filled about two-thirds full. Bake the donuts in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes.

4. Decoration: Once the donuts have cooled, decorate them with candy eyes and pretzels to create spider-like donuts. For an extra chocolatey treat, you can optionally drizzle some chocolate glaze on top of the donuts.
